TomL > 31 Mar: So far this year, its been dry, dry, dry in south Texas.

TomL > 30 Mar: For the second time, I went to the Hog Festival in Sabinal, Texas. This was the 3-5 age group, where the objective was to just catch and release the piggy. In the real competition, the piggies have to be put in a sack and dragged across a line. The best time I witnessed was about 8 seconds; some went on for several minutes.

A gallery with more piggy shots was started last year and appended this year.

TomL > 29 Mar: Whitish/brownish bird with orangish accessories.

TomL > 28 Mar: The neighbor's cat. Perhaps he felt all lionlike while laying on the rocks and surveying the local savannah.

TomL > 27 Mar: Maybe not the greatest shot, but it had a high degree of difficulty.

TomL > 26 Mar: This seems to mirror the way I felt today...

TomL > 25 Mar: This is as close as I could come to getting a snow scene in south Texas this time of year.

TomL > 24 Mar: Grayish bird with greenish eyes perched on whitish fence.

TomL > 23 Mar: Young'uns everywhere seem to enjoy a spontaneous hunt, whether it be acorns or eggs.
